Carol Smith, MD

Medical Director, Occupational Health Services

Doctor Carol Smith is the Medical Director for Occupational Health Services at Emergency One. Dr. Smith's diverse medical experience includes Board Certification in Internal Medicine with sub-specialization in Occupational Medicine and added experience in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Smith's expertise in Occupational Medicine programs has established her as a valuable asset to the occupational health team.

Dr. Smith earned her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Smith is board certified in Internal Medicine and has completed the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Basic Curriculum in Occupational Medicine. Dr. Smith is also a Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). Dr. Smith is member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. In addition, Dr. Smith is completing her Masters in Public Health Degree.

Dr. Smith's outstanding achievement for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey earned her the Manager's Achievement Award for the development and implementation of an integrated disability management approach combining aggressive medical care supervision with the resources and protocols of the Workers' Compensation Department.
